In 2014, YWCA Lancaster will be celebrating its 125th Anniversary serving women, men and children in Lancaster County and we want interesting stories about how YWCA Lancaster influenced your life!
During our travels through the years we have heard some pretty amazing and happy stories about people who received services from the YWCA that helped them to turn their lives around. We have heard the occasional story of people meeting their future spouse at a Y-Teen dance or as counselors at summer camp. And we love hearing the stories from women who lived at the YWCA Residence during WWII while they worked in the Factories while the “Boys” were off to war.
It’s these tender, heartwarming stories that inspired us to seek stories from more people in the community and share them during our celebratory year in 2014. Some stories will be shared in print advertising, some on video, some on social media and some during public presentations.
If you would like to share your story, or a story of a loved one who is no longer living, please contact Angela M. Trout, Communications & Advocacy Coordinator, at 717-393-1735, ext. 224.
