The Hunting Ground to be shown at Zoetropolis. YWCA Lancaster will lead discussion following film on April 17

The local movie theater, Zoetropolis, in Lancaster will be showing the film, “The Hunting Ground,” starting with a showing on Friday, April 17 at 6:30 p.m. The highly acclaimed movie is about the prevalence of rape on college campuses. After the Friday, April 17 showing at 6:30, Cheryl Gahring, chief program officer at the YWCA Lancaster, and Marylee Sauder, a volunteer community educator with the YWCA Lancaster, will lead a discussion about the film. New items of clothing now being accepted for Victim Survivors of Sexual Assault

Did you know when a victim survivor of sexual assault is brought in to a local hospital for a Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE) their clothing is often taken by police for evidence? That leaves the victim survivor without clothes. Some hospitals supply a SAFE clothing bank but more times than not the clothing is not in the best condition and not all sizes are represented.
