Race: Are We So Different?
Investigate human variation through the framework of science, history and lived experience of the exhibit “Race: Are We so Different?” at the North Museum this summer from June 7 through September. Presented by YWCA Lancaster, learn about misconceptions of race, how human variation has shaped our culture and what the future holds for our society. “Race: Are We so Different?” is a project by the American Anthropological Association.
YWCA Lancaster Homecoming
Join us on Sept. 6 between noon and 5 p.m. for the YWCA Lancaster Homecoming. Former residents, summer campers, childcare alumni, club participants, staff, and anyone with fond memories of the YWCA are invited to attend this family friendly event. Bring your photos and items that bring back memories of your days at the YWCA. We’ll have a Y-Teen Dance, Health & Fitness classes, a TechGYRLS exhibition and so much more! Food and fun and for all! YWCA Lancaster’s $500,000 Endowment Campaign will wrap-up with the Celebration! gala on Nov. 22 at the Lancaster Marriott. This event is a culmination of the many events held throughout the year to mark the YW 125th Anniversary and to recognize the tremendous contributions of our CEO Maureen Powers who will retire on Dec. 31.
