Grantwriting Collaborative

Grantwriting Services for Non-Profits

18-HR2009For a yearly buy-in fee of $10,000 a year, our full-time staff grantwriters will research and write a minimum of 10 grants a year for your organization.  This is a tremendous advantage for small to medium size operations with limited resources, budget and staff. It’s like having your own writer on-call!

The Grantwriting Collaborative is open to non-profits and businesses from anywhere in the United States whose missions align with the mission of YWCA Lancaster: Dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

Proven Results

The Grantwriting Collaborative has successfully secured investments from foundations, corporation and government funders ranging from $1,000 to $250,000.

  • The collaborative secured a $40,000 grant for Susquehanna Valley Pregnancy Services (SVPS) to provide free, first-trimester ultrasound scans to disadvantaged women.
  • Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services (DHHS) of Lancaster County received a $5,000 grant from the Dart Foundation that will allow DHHS to provide certified American Sign Language interpreters to YWCA and Domestic Violence Services for deaf clients seeking counseling for abuse. Five clients at DVS and the YWCA will receive eight weeks of vial counseling with the aid of an ASL-certified interpreter.

About Us

The Grantwriting Collaborative is a philanthropic grantwriting service that was conceived through a 2009 Lancaster County Community Foundation Innovation Fund Grant investment. The project has since solidified its usefulness and shown its sustainability by raising over $340,000 for small and medium sized organizations.

As of July 2012 the YWCA Lancaster has taken over the operation of the Grantwriting Collaborative and has expanded the membership requirements to allow non-profits and businesses from beyond Lancaster County to join. For more information please contact Angie Lightfoot-Roth at 717-393-1735, ext. 240.
