School Age Childcare

School Age Childcare includes the kindergarten wrap program, before school care, after school care, and summer camp.

The YWCA School Age Child Care program provides a safe place for kids and peace of mind for their parents. The program offers care to children 5 years to 12 years of age throughout the year.


Penn Manor Kindergarten Wrap Program
Registration for the 2010-2011 school year begins March 8, 2010. Please call 717-393-1735 x 265 to set up an appointment.

The YWCA Kindergarten Wrap Program offers care for children enrolled in half day kindergarten at all Penn Manor elementary schools. The program can be combined with before and/or after school care to provide all day care for kindergarten students.

For complete details, read our Penn Manor Wrap Handbook Then complete a Penn Manor Wrap Registration Packet to enroll your child. If you have Microsoft Excel, you may use it to complete and print the Emergency Contact Form.

Summer Camp Care
Registration packets will be mailed out by the end of the March.

Our registration nights will be as follows:
Eshleman:
April 8th, 3pm-6:30pm Eshleman gym lobby
April 12th, 3pm-6:30pm Eshleman gym lobby

McCaskey & YWCA:
April 21st, 3pm-6pm YWCA Lobby

Please come with a completed packet and be prepared to make a payment at the time of your registration. The payment will include a registration, activity and membership fee as well as one weeks tuition. Anyone who does not attend one of these registration nights and wants to enroll in the program will need to call 393-1735 ext. 270 or 265 to schedule an appointment!

The YWCA Summer Camp offers care for children from the end of the school year until it begins again in the fall. The day camp is offered in a variety of sites throughout Lancaster County: Eshelman Elementary in Millersville, McCaskey High School and the YWCA in Lancaster City. Campers receive a t-shirt celebrating the summer's theme and a yearbook at the end of the summer.

Camp days include the following activities:
• breakfast & nutritious snacks
• arts & crafts
• sports & games
• swimming
• library visits
• activities such as bowling, mini golf and skating
• trips to local attractions
• programs celebrating diversity & individuality

Before and After School Care
Penn Manor School District and the School District of Lancaster
Care is provided at the following elementary schools in Penn Manor: Central Manor, Eshelman, Hambright, Letort, Martic, and Pequea. For Conestoga care will be provided at Pequea.

Care is provided for a variety of schools in Lancaster City.
The program includes transportation to and from public and private schools in the City of Lancaster at no additional cost.

Drop-in care and no-school day care are available for both Penn Manor and Lancaster City schools at the YWCA with prior registration.

Before and After School Care includes the following activities:
• lots of outdoor and indoor activities
• swimming at the YWCA location
• homework time
• nutritious snacks
• arts & crafts
